General: ** It seems from the 1881 Census that the daughters, Mary Ann and Sarah, went to Layton-with-Warbreck, Lancashire for work together with 2 cousins, Louisa and Julia. By 1891 Martha and Rosina were also there. Note: Layton-with-Warbreck was part of the famous developing resort of Blackpool and the girls would have had an exiting time watching the town's attractions being built).
Samuel obviously was very close to his brother John and the families lived in the same road.
