Details of a

CAKEBREAD family

in the areas around
Solihull (Warwickshire)

In the mid-19th Century Thomas Cakebread and wife Sarah moved to live in the country Parish of Barston, Warwickshire. Several generations later some of their descendants were living a little further north-west in the district of Solihull, Warwickshire.

Thomas's father, also Thomas, had married Ann Green at Tadmarton near the Oxfordshire / Warwickshire boundary in 1781. According to the marriage details (Oxfordshire Marriage Index 1538-1837) Thomas was from the nearby larger village of Bloxham.
