Around 1890 Caleb's wife, Eliza, ran off with her lover, taking young Sarah with her, and leaving Caleb to raise the young family including baby Annie.
Known Places of Residence:
As a child Caleb lived at Spring Grove (near the present Cox
Street), Coventry.
From 1861 until 1869 the family were at Leicester
Street, Coventry about a mile away, and from 1871 to 1877 Caleb and wife
Eliza were living close by at Hill St.
By 1881 they had moved out
from the city centre a short distance to Radford near the Common where
Caleb remained until his death.
Death: Caleb died on 24 January 1909 from Bronchitis exhaustion at his home at 57 Radford.
